Organic physalis, also known as Cape gooseberries, originally come from the Andes in South America and later found a second home in South Africa. This is where they got their well-known name. The small, bright golden-yellow fruits have always been prized for their special taste.

Our dried organic physalis are processed gently to preserve their natural color and typical aroma. They have a pleasantly fruity taste with a subtle, slightly sour note – an exciting combination that sets them apart from classic sweet dried fruit.

It is precisely this balance of sweetness and acidity that makes physalis so special. They have a fresh and lively taste without being overpowering and bring a certain lightness that is not always found in dried fruit.

Careful drying preserves the character of the fruit – slightly soft in consistency, aromatic and natural. Naturally without unnecessary additives, but with the full flavor of the fruit.
