NussFee.ch is your Swiss online shop for organic nuts and dried fruits—packaged completely plastic-free, designed with sustainability in mind, and featuring a lovingly curated selection ranging from classic varieties to special superfoods and matching, elegant olive wood products.

Here you’ll find the finest organic nuts and dried fruits in a wide variety of options: from almonds, cashews, and pistachios to dates, figs, and apricots, all the way to some rare treasures like barberries, sour cherries, or espresso beans coated in vegan chocolate. Everything is natural, authentic, and carefully selected.

Because we care deeply about the environment, we consistently avoid using plastic—from our products to our packaging to our shipping tape. Everything is made of paper, a renewable resource that’s easy to recycle. This makes sustainable enjoyment just a little bit more fun. Together with the Eden Reforestation Project, we support global reforestation initiatives: For every product sold, a tree is planted. So your purchase automatically has a small but valuable positive impact.

Our nuts and dried fruits are freshly packaged by hand—ensuring the highest quality and natural flavor. And despite all this care, we keep our prices fair: Our products are often less expensive than those at large retail chains. From the Canadian wilderness to Steinhausen

How it all began

We are Jasmin and Nicolas and run our store in Steinhausen. Our enthusiasm for a conscious, natural diet grew during a long journey through the Canadian wilderness – and with it our love of nuts, seeds and everything that provides valuable energy.

In a small organic store in the Canadian Kootenays, we then discovered how diverse, fairly priced and accessible such products can be. This experience became the spark for our own idea.

Back in Switzerland, however, we realized how expensive many organic products are here. We only found fair prices from wholesalers, but they only supply companies. This gave rise to the desire to create a place where everyone has access to high-quality organic nuts at reasonable prices.

The idea matured over several years – and at the end of 2020 it became a reality thanks to a successful Crowdify crowdfunding campaign and over 110 fantastic supporters.

With our crowdfunding project, we brought the NussFee to life and gave the go-ahead for our webshop.

A Short Story

Canada as inspiration

A few years ago, my husband and I traveled through Canada for almost a year and a half. The further into the outback we went, the more often we had to go weeks without our favorite hiking snacks, since there were no healthy organic nuts to be found anywhere. The ones that were available weren’t organic, and most of them were even imported directly from China. So we looked for a way to buy our beloved nuts in larger quantities all at once.

In a small village called Nelson near the Kootenays in British Columbia we finally found our dream store. There we could finally buy all kinds of nuts, superfoods and dried fruits – and finally in large quantities at really fair prices. On top of that, their whole assortment was organic – now I was really happy, because as a trained cook it is very important to me to cook only with the best ingredients – because I love good food. We hoped to find such a store in Switzerland after our return.

Back in Switzerland, we were disappointed—while there’s plenty of variety, it’s often only available in very small packages at exorbitant prices. And precisely because nuts are so great for cooking and baking, people are reluctant to buy them when the packages are so small and expensive. After some thought, the idea was born to start our own shop and show the “big players” that there’s another way.

As we all know, nuts aren’t just wonderful “brain food”; they’re also a great alternative to candy—especially for kids—and these little energy powerhouses are always on hand as a quick snack at your desk or during outings and hikes.
